Theo of Golden has taken the reading community by storm and is now a New York Times Bestseller.

Golden is a small town in the South and Theo is a stranger there. No one knows why he chose to visit their town. Theo is an older gentleman who speaks with a Portuguese accent and appears to be wealthy.  Theo deflects questions, is an ardent listener, but he remains a mystery. Through a plan he devises bestowing portraits sketched by a local artist to the subject of the portrait, the reader, as well as the people of Golden, come to love Theo and his generous nature. The reader will be drawn into the lives of those who interact with Theo as you come to know them through his eyes. But still, why Golden? Did Theo pick a random southern city, or did he have a reason for choosing Golden? Is this quiet book a meditation on kindness, as many have stated, or a meditation on observation and attention?
