Willoway Publishing

Artist Nate Acton is a native of Birmingham, Alabama, and began taking art classes at Kingwood Christian School. He later studied comic art at Bessemer State Technical College, and graphic design and art history at Auburn University. 

Acton’s latest project is cover illustrations for Willoway Publishing’s Haunted Houses series, which will launch on October 1, 2026. Limited edition prints of Acton’s covers will be available from Willoway during the fall.

Not only a passionate visual artist, Acton is an avid participant in the martial arts.  He is a self-defense instructor and owner of Counterstrike Krav Maga in Birmingham. Recognized by the International Krav Maga Federation, Acton has been a certified Civilian Instructor and Self-Defense for Women Instructor for more than a decade.
